I'm going to keep this short and sweet!
If you had the opportunity to read the heart-warming moments so accurately described in Neil Pasricha’s The Book of Awesome (or any of the books related to that one), then his book The Happiness Equation will likely also FILL. YOUR. CUP!
This book had been on my radar for some time, and only this past week did I finally get the chance to read it! Without spoiling any of the content, I'll just share the following...
According to Pasricha, The Happiness Equation is essentially:
“Want Nothing + Do Anything = Have Everything”
His approach with this equation boils life down to what is both fundamental and essential, in establishing and maintaining a deep sense of happiness in life.
Pasricha goes into depth of detail with his each of his ‘9 Secrets to Happiness’. Each secret challenges society’s established ideal, undoubtedly having you view the items he describes with a revised perspective!
Pasricha’s step-by-step, practical guidelines and diagrams that outline strategies easily implemented into one’s life will likely have you re-assessing your approach to various aspects of your life in no time at all, and hopefully carrying forward some new, sustainable habits!
With living in a society that so highly values trading in time for money (including compromised sleep, high stress and lack of quality time with loved ones) and obtaining material objects as status symbols, this book was a pleasant refresher as to those things MOST important in life!
For that reason, I recommend it to you, if you’re looking for that down-to-earth charismatic approach to living your most fulfilling, happy life! The chapters are short and are easy reads, so please don’t be surprised if you sit down to start it and end up wanting to finish it in one sitting!
