While fruit and vegetables may be combined into a juice, ensure the juice remains more alkaline than acidic, by using more volume of vegetable than that of fruit
Red Cabbage powerfully boosts the immune system, detoxifies the body, prevents diabetes and treats ulcers[i]
Carrots possess beta-carotene, helping to combat health-damaging, free radical activity (free radicals are uncharged atoms in the body that result from stressors, and can be highly reactive within the body)[ii]
Apples are cancer-fighting fruits and can help combat diarrhea and constipation (their fibre can either pull water out of your colon to keep things moving along when you’re backed up, or can absorb excess water from your stool to slow your bowels down)[iii]
Ingredients (serves 1):
2 moderate-sized wedges of red cabbage (approx. ¼ of a small head)
4 carrots, tops removed
1 red apple, quartered & deseeded
*Time: approx. 10 min
Wash all ingredients, leaving the apple skin on.
Place the ingredients, one handful at a time, into the juicer. Chop as needed so items fit as required. Juice all ingredients.
Stir the final juice product, pour and serve immediately. Add an ice cube to the glass if you’d like it ever-so-slightly chilled.
