Your Homemade 'London Fog'!

Anything you buy in a coffee shop can be replicated at home, saving you $5-$7 dollars a pop and supporting the building up of a Culinary Nutrition-focused pantry of goods! Here is my take on a homemade, dairy-free 'London Fog'!

(Dairy-Free) London Fog Yield: 1 serving (about 1.5 cups) Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups plain/unsweetened almond milk (or homemade almond milk!)

  • 1 tbsp. collagen powder/peptides

  • 2 tsp. coconut butter

  • 1/2 tsp. alcohol-free vanilla extract

  • 1/2 tsp. raw, unpasteurized honey (optional)

  • Pinch of pink Himalayan sea salt (or unrefined sea salt of choice)

  • 1 tea bag organic, Earl Grey tea

Directions: 1. Combine all ingredients (except the tea bag) in a small saucepan and bring to low-medium heat, whisking the ingredients together as it warms. You want the heat level to be hot enough to warm the ingredients, yet not hot enough to bring them to a low boil. 2. Periodically stir the ingredients until they are hot, just short of a boil. 3.Pour into your favourite mug and add a teabag of organic Earl Grey tea. Let steep for as long as desired! Enjoy!

When purchasing herbal teas, I strive to always purchase an organically-sourced option for a cleaner source.
