This beautiful book was pointed out to me while exploring a charming little bookstore in Melbourne, Australia! I was intrigued from the moment I saw it, and fell in love with what it had to offer once I began to explore its pages!

At the time, it had just been released in Australia, and was yet to be released elsewhere, which made it extra special! The Australian author, Meredith Gaston, is an "internationally acclaimed artist, author, coach and speaker, passionate about inspiring others to blossom through self-care, self-love and self-empowerment."[i] This is evident through her heart-warming artistic creations and content that comprehensively illustrate The Art of Wellbeing: Joyous Living Inspired by Nature.

As I knew it would make a beautiful gift for my sister, who was 6 months pregnant at the time with her first child, I knew she would enjoy it cover-to-cover when she could steal a few quiet moments for herself both prior to and after delivering her first child. It would certainly make a memorable gift for anyone who enjoys learning more about self-care and health and wellness, or that perfect treat for yourself, of course!

The content is arranged into the following sections:

Welcome Notes

  • A section that describes how to nourish your Inner Garden, in terms of daily care and wellbeing practices

Top 10 Tips for Cultivating Wellbeing in Daily Life

  • These tips encompass such things as Choosing Joy, Eat Real Food and Move Your Body

Introduction to Meditations and Visualization

  • Includes Instant Visualizations and Positive Affirmations

Introduction to Recipes

  • Includes Tools, Savvy Tips and Recipe Extras

  • Included are some Little Notes on Stones & Crystals

*The recipes are then divided into 4 categories:

  • Energise - indulge in such goodness as The Golden Elixir, Spirulina and Cashew Bliss Balls or Power Truffles,

  • Comfort - revel in the Sunshine Spiced Latte, Little Lavender Chocolates or Lemon and Dill Cashew Cheese

  • Blossom - escape with the Coconut Black Rice Pudding, Sweet Potato and Parsnip Chips or Zoodles with Nutty Supergreen Pesto

Some sneak peeks!

As you can see, this is a vibrant, peace-instilling and NOURISHING book, rich with tools and resources to enhance your state of wellbeing!
